Amazing trip

We left K-town on Friday(24th)we satyed overnite in Virginia Beach anf hit the road again. Arrived Saturday around 10AM...did some supply shopping and were in the house by noon. Weather was amazing...high 70's to low 80's sunshine everyday of our trip. People were great even tho I was the only sailor, everyone loves the beach!

As far as a windsurfing only vacation it was not the best...but...I had 3 1/2 days of sailing. Started on Sunday with a 9.8 and my race board but was soon overpowerd and had to drop to my 7.2. Wind stayed consistent with the 7.2 for the rest of the day....a good day to get my "sea legs" back.
Monday was a n on sailing day but a great day for boogie boarding and catching some rays.
Tuesday was another 7.2 but a bit stronger so I could use the 277 Ride for the day....that was fun. Tried out the digital video cam and got some good results.
Wednesday saw a good early morning blow but that subsided by noon.
Thursday was another beach/shopping getting brown day. The waves were quite big on the ocean side and got some good rides on the boogie board.
Friday was a perfect day (for me) started out with the 7.2 and the Ride for the morning then got to rig up the 5.5 and had an absoulte blast for the rest of the day! Water was nice and warm so only required my shorts and footwear.
Saturday was another nice day but alas thats our travel day....back home to K-town....
Good people and good eats pretty good sailing...can't ask more than that.
I am quite intrigued with the whole standup paddle board thingy....I think I have a new goal....we will see.
Will add more pics as I get them.

Excited!!!!!

Heres our house in Frisco

Alrighty then....everything is falling in place we have another two people coming with us to fill in the house...that makes eight.
Trailer is looking good, have the ball hitch reday to install. Got her loaded up the other night and all looks good.
We are heading out on Friday morning and staying in Virginia Beach that night. We have early checkin and should be on the water(windy hopefully) by early afternoon.
So far the weather looks pretty good, but we all know the weather can change in a second!

I think spring has sprung

Well after a wicked cold spell I think we have rounded the corner. Not a second to soon! I was thinking that we would never get there.
Things have moved along nicely on the trailer...just waiting for my custom ball hitch for the Escape.
Another week of prep and we will be on our way...now I'm starting to get excited.

Spring?????

I think spring made its deput this week.....I'm not holding my breath tho.......
Well seem to have gotten the trailer organized...finally got the wheels off, lots of scraped knuckles and curse words. Have to buy a new 4x8 plywood and get things properly situated(I'll post some pics)
Another slight problem is the ball hitch for the wifes new Escape, the trailers small and its hard finding a low enough adapter to fit. May have to be a custom job.
Apparently from Bills OBX beach life(at the right) last week was warm and windy! I know a few people that are a wee bit pissed they were not there last week. Hopefully the warm water/weather will keep coming...4 weeks to go!

Man Its cold here!!!!!!!

Holy crap! its freezing here! When is spring coming to my neck of the woods?
The windchill yesterday was -18!!!! I gotta work in this crap.....its time for a break.
So I'm getting my trailer ready to go to Hattera's and I got a flat....okay I can handle that......WRONG! the frickin' bolts are not coming off that puppy....I bent my socket wrench trying to get the damn thing off...good thing this is happening now and not on the way down.....plus (if I did not say already) ITS COLD!!
I'll check in as things hopefully move forward

Picked up the new board yesterday

Met Claudio from Aurora yesterday afternoon and made the "transaction" I guess for $150 bucks with a nice carbon wave fin is a pretty good deal.
Board is in amazing shape, footstraps are new, hardly a scratch on the board. Hopefully I can get to use it when I'm down there(Hatteras)
Now I am in the hunt for a small mast(400cm)The search continues!!!
